Arsenal new kit launch: Ozil, Bellerin and co unveil contentious 2018/19 home strip
Arsenal have unveiled their new home kit in preparation for the 2018/19 season, and it’s sure to divide opinion among fans.
Kit manufacturer Puma have opted for a traditional red and white colour scheme but created an unusual design around the collar and shoulders.
Both the sleeves and the socks feature a lighter red band on what is expected to be Puma’s last creation before the end of their deal with Arsenal.
The strip is centred around the ‘We Are THE Arsenal’ and ‘Beat of the City’ campaign, which supposedly represents a sense of belonging that the supports around the world have to the club and the players.
An ‘Authentic’ version of the shirt will set supporters back an eye-watering £100, while other designs are available between £55 and £60.
Mesut Ozil, Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal all took turns modelling the kit while Alexandre Lacazette, Alex Iwobi and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also featured in the promotional video.
