Arsenal transfer news: Gunners fans warned over Unai Emery's summer signings
The new Gunners boss has already heavily strengthened his side since replacing Arsene Wenger in May.
Emery has spent over £70m in recent weeks, bringing in Bernd Leno, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Stephan Lichtsteiner, Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi.
But Arsenal legend Seaman says fans must wait until they see the new arrivals in action before getting excited about the club’s business.
“There have been a lot of signings made but we will have to wait to see them actually play in the Premier League to find out whether they will be a success,” he told talkSPORT.
“It is always difficult coming from different leagues and then going straight into the Premier League.
“A lot of the players took at least a season to get used to the pace and physicality of the Premier League.
“It is exciting but one with a little bit of caution.”
Emery discussed his transfer plans with journalists on Thursday, admitting he wanted ‘five captains’ in his team this season, with France defender Laurent Koscielny first in the queue.
“My first idea is to have five captains in the team but at the moment I don’t know the names,” he said.
“Koscielny is the first captain now.
“Then, we are for the players whose personality is the best in the dressing room.”
Arsenal get their Premier League season underway against Premier League champions Manchester City next month.
