Barcelona news: Man City boss Pep Guardiola discusses potential Barca return
The Spaniard will be remembered as one of the greatest coaches to ever grace the Nou Camp dugout after his four trophy-laden years at the Catalan outfit.
Guardiola has since achieved success at Bayern Munich and City as he continues his quest to be the greatest coach in the world.
But the former Barcelona star admits he is not at all tempted by a return to the Spanish side in the future.
“As a coach, it’s over [at Barca], because I am not the same, nor do they even look at me in the same way,” he told TV3.
”[I] was at a fantastic age in which I was taking on the world and we took it on, with some incredible players, a young president (Laporta), Txiki.
“It was a generation of brutal players and the best player in the world.
“The stars aligned.”
“President? No, I am a coach and I am good at what I do, you can’t be everything.
“When I stop coaching, you will find me playing golf.”
Current Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde enjoyed a solid debut season at the club, winning La Liga and the Copa del Rey.
However, the former Bilbao chief’s job was plunged into uncertainty after Roma knocked the Catalan side out of the Champions League in the quarter final.
