Barca in again for Willian
06:40: Barcelona have reportedly made a second bid for Chelsea’s Manchester United target Willian.
Barcelona originally made a bid of £50million for Willian last week and talks are still ongoing for the Brazilian.
United boss Jose Mourinho is also believed to be interested in reuniting with Willian however there has been no bid made from Manchester.
And Barcelona look to have made another step to get their man with Sky Sports reporting they have made a bid up to £53m for Willian.
Real Madrid Hazard decision
05:30: Chelsea are reportedly braced to receive a British transfer record £150million bid for Eden Hazard from Real Madrid.
That’s the report of the Daily Mail.
They suggest that the European champions have made Chelsea winger Hazard their No 1 summer target to replace Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portuguese superstar left the Spanish giants for a fee in excess of £88million, leaving Real Madrid with a hole to fill up top.
Hazard has just two years left on his Stamford Bridge contract and hardly played down speculation of a Bernabeu switch just this week having been regularly linked with Los Blancos.
Barcelona cheeky swap
04:45: Barcelona are contemplating a shock swap deal with Chelsea in order to sign N’Golo Kante, according to reports.
Barcelona have already completed some summer business, including Clement Lenglet from Sevilla who joined in a £32million deal on Thursday.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are hoping to kickstart their summer transfer business with the arrival of Maurizio Sarri as their new head coach imminent.
The Blues are eager to overhaul their midfield and Danny Drinkwater has been earmarked as a potential player to head for the exit.
But now according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Barca are looking to use Andre Gomes as a makeweight to clinch a deal for Kante.
The report suggests the potential proposal could persuade the west London outfit to come to the negotiating table.
04:00: Jorginho wouldn’t fit in at Chelsea if he were to sign for them.
That is the view of ESPN pundit Stewart Robson.
Chelsea are set to confirm Maurizio Sarri imminently as their new head coach following Antonio Conte’s departure.
Napoli star Jorginho has attracted significant interest from the Blues as well as Manchester City, who are also considering a bid.
Although Chelsea are yet to make a splash in the window, Robson doesn’t think Jorginho is the player that should head to Stamford Bridge.
“Sarri is talking about him being a holding midfielder, but they have the best one in the world in N’Golo [Kante],” Robson said.
“So I’m not sure where he fits in!”
