Fantasy Premier League tips: Last-minute Fantasy Football transfers for FPL GW5 | Football | Sport
Fantasy Premier League tips can help you ease back into the domestic routine with a string of terrific options ahead of Gameweek 5.
Several key players are rising in the early stages of the 2018/19 Premier League season – though consistent, free-scoring strikers have been scarce so far.
That could all change in GW5 with Manchester United star Romelu Lukaku among the top contenders for a good weekend.
The Belgian striker bagged two goals against Burnley and will be hungry for more, but he’s not the only player you should consider signing in the next few hours.
Express Sport has rounded up the best last-minute transfer tips ahead of Fantasy Premier League GW5 – but who will you choose?
MID – Eden Hazard (Chelsea – £10.7m)
An extended World Cup break appears to have been a big boost for Hazard who looks sharp and dangerous with kind fixtures on the way.
FWD – Danny Ings (Southampton – £5.6m)
The budget star should be everyone’s third striker. He’s ludicrously cheap for a potential 10-15 goal forward.
FWD – Sergio Aguero (Manchester City – £11.3m)
Arguably the best premium cost striker out there right now given his fixtures. He has a real chance to do some damage in the coming weeks.
DEF – Lucas Digne (Everton – £4.8m)
Could be a bargain gem if he permanently ousts Leighton Baines from the left-back slot. Picked up an assist against Huddersfield.
MID – James Maddison (Leicester – £6.6m)
The Foxes new boy has shown flashes of terrific quality despite tricky fixtures. They have a good run of games ahead now.
FWD – Romelu Lukaku (Manchester United – £11.0m)
He is renowned for his ability to bully teams further down the league, and United have plenty of those coming up.
DEF – Marcos Alonso (Chelsea – £6.8m)
One of the hottest players in FPL right now. Alonso is lethal going forward, racks up clean sheet points, and faces Cardiff next.
MID – Pedro (Chelsea – £6.8m)
May tail off further into the season, but his excellent goalscoring form will keep him in the team for now.
GKP – Alex McCarthy (Southampton – £4.5m)
A great low-cost goalkeeper with some favourable fixtures on the horizon. McCarthy’s form has been rewarded with an England call-up.
MID – James Milner (Liverpool – £5.6m)
An unusual pick considering the Reds’ midfield options, but he is simply producing big displays and the points to prove it.
