The Dutchman has been a regular fixture in Jurgen Klopp’s first-team so far this season, playing alongside James Milner and Naby Keita in the middle of the park.
Wijnaldum has impressed fans on Merseyside since joining Liverpool from Newcastle back in the summer of 2016.

Moussa Sissoko also left the Magpies that transfer window, opting to join Tottenham in a move worth £30m.
And Wijnaldum has now admitted he had the chance to join his former Newcastle team-mate in north London before he opted to join Liverpool instead.
“I met Mauricio Pochettino when I left Newcastle,” he told the Telegraph.
“I just felt Liverpool wanted to come to an agreement quickly.
“Tottenham have shown over the years the quality of their players and manager.
“That’s why people say this is a ‘big game’.
“In the situation we are in, they say it makes it bigger.”
Liverpool have started the Premier League season in fine form this term.
And Wijnaldum admits the players are desperate to win some silverware for the fans this season.
“We do not play for Liverpool not to win. We know what we can do and we were so close already,” he added.
“We have done everything to win something but the fact is it is not so easy.
“There are a lot of teams who also want to win the same trophies.”
Liverpool visit Wembley this afternoon as they look to continue their perfect start to the Premier League campaign.
Wijnaldum is again expected to start in the middle, while Keita, Milner and captain Jordan Henderson set to fight it out for the other two positions.
Tottenham have also started the season well, only suffering one defeat so far after losing to Watford before the international break.
