Liverpool news: Joey Barton makes Premier League title prediction in shock Everton claim
That’s according to Fleetwood manager Joey Barton.
The Reds enjoyed a stunning second half to last season and came close to winning the Champions League, falling at the final hurdle against Real Madrid.
Klopp has strengthened well, splashing out £175m to bring in four new signings as well as tying down talisman Mohamed Salah to a brand new five-year deal.
Liverpool are among the favourites to challenge Manchester City for the title as they look to finish top of the pile for the first time since 1990.
“I honestly think they could get really close to their first title in 20-odds years.”

And lifelong Everton fan Barton admits he can’t help but admire the progression his rivals have made under Klopp.
“When we look across Stanley Park, no matter what any of us say, and see the big German [Jurgen Klopp], the style they’re playing, and the way they have invested again – it’s nervous times for Evertonians,” he told talkSPORT.
“I honestly think they could get really close to their first title in 20-odds years. It will be really close.”
Klopp insists he’s finished in the transfer market this summer although rumours linking Nabil Fekir with a switch to Anfield refuse to go away.
Liverpool kick off their Premier League campaign next Sunday as they host West Ham.
