Liverpool team vs Tottenham: Jurgen Klopp makes bold decision for Wembley showdown | Football | Sport
Liverpool and Tottenham face off today with the Reds out for revenge following last season’s 4-1 thumping at Wembley.
And, speaking as the two teams prepare to do battle, Jurgen Klopp has urged his side to improve their record against other teams from the so-called big six.

The Liverpool manager said, when asked if it was important to pick up points against their fellow Premier League title rivals: “For sure it is important, it is a fact.
“It is not that you go to Tottenham and have an average day and still get something.
“You get nothing for an average day at Tottenham. We need to be on our top level.
“Two seasons ago we had a fantastic record [in big-six matches] and last year we didn’t have such a good record, especially away from home.”
Before today’s match, Gary Neville had urged Liverpool to forget about winning the Champions League to focus solely on title glory.
It is something Klopp disagrees with.
The Liverpool boss added: “How should that work? We don’t play Champions League, or what?”
“Gary should come over and tell me exactly how that works.
“How do you prepare for a game when you don’t focus on it? Bring your kids into the Champions League, that would be funny.
“I don’t know what he means, to be honest. We have to play football. A lot of people play our games when we play Champions League football and that’s our job, that we do the best we can do in all those games.
“That’s what we try. We will see.”
Klopp has made a bold decision for today’s match by making one change from the side that beat Leicester before the international break.
Naby Keita comes in with captain Jordan Henderson on the bench.
Liverpool team: Allison, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Keita, Milner, Salah, Firmino, Mane
