Liverpool transfer news: Sky Sports man reveals Nabil Fekir, Paulo Dybala, Butland news
Jurgen Klopp’s side have already signed Naby Keita and Fabinho while a deal to bring in Nabil Fekir was expected to be the third one done.
The Lyon attacking midfielder, 24, carried out his unveiling interviews with in-house station LFC TV and even posed for pictures in a Liverpool shirt.
But the move collapsed when Liverpool doctors found a long-standing knee problem during his medical in Paris ahead of the World Cup.
Sheth doesn’t think it’s completely dead, though, and told the Transfer Podcast: “That was on, then it was off. Noises coming from France and from their president Jean Michel Aulas are kind of suggesting it’s not completely dead in the water this one.
“We have four weeks to go until this window closes. You never know. There could be more movement and potentially reigniting that deal for Fekir.”
There has also been talk of Juventus’ frontman Paulo Dybala and Jack Butland but Sheth thinks one of those is more likely than the other.
He added: “Paulo Dybala, I can’t see him coming in from Juventus. I can’t see Juventus selling him.
“Jack Butland is an interesting one, he’s in the England squad as No.2 to Jordan Pickford. If he wants to be No.1 in the England squad in the future he has to be playing in the top league – not the Championship with Stoke.
“The longer the window goes on, there’s the potential maybe that Jack Butland could be on the move.
“I don’t want to disappoint any Stoke City fans, they have already released Lee Grant to Manchester United, Jack Butland could be one. Keep an eye on it.”
