Man Utd news: NBA star Larry Nance Jr blasts Jose Mourinho over Manchester United woe | Football | Sport
That is the view of Cleveland Cavaliers star Larry Nance Jr.
Mourinho has had a difficult season with just 13 points collected from Manchester United’s first eight games.
The United boss has also been embroiled in rows with Paul Pogba, been publicly critical of his players and slammed the board over their lack of transfer business.
Mourinho relived some of the pressure with a 3-2 win over Newcastle before the international break.
But when club football resumes next week, United face games against Chelsea and Juventus.
Nance Jr is gearing up for the start of the 2018/19 NBA season with the Cavs.
And the Chelsea fan has slammed Mourinho for not getting the most from his players.
”As a typical Chelsea fan, Jose Mourinho is not my favourite to put it nicely,” Nance told Goal.
”He certainly has the talent at Manchester United, if he can’t put it together and figure out how to utilise all the talent they have on that roster, then that falls on his shoulders.”
Mourinho was heavily linked with the sack before the match with Newcastle.
And after earning a reprieve, Mourinho railed at his critics.
“I am 55 years old,” Mourinho said.
“It is the first time I see man-hunting. I can cope with it. I can live with it.
“Some of the boys, in spite of them not being the man that is hunted, they are not coping with it.
“This is new, it makes me not just a better manager but a better person.
“I understand things in human nature nowadays and in the industry where I work, I used to love it, I still love it, but it is different.
“There is too much wickedness in something that should be beautiful.
“I cope with it, with some sadness. I am a big boy and I will deal with it.”
