Man Utd transfer news: David De Gea to force Real Madrid move TODAY – report
Spanish news outlet Diario Gol say incoming Real boss Julen Lopetegui and club president Florentino President are desperate to sign the Old Trafford No 1.
They add that De Gea is also keen to head to the Bernabeu.
The Spain international has heard of Real’s interest in Roma stopper Alisson – and De Gea’s determined to get his dream La Liga move.
Diario Gol say the United star will attempt to force through a switch to Real in the next few hours.
Should Real fail to land De Gea this summer, the Spanish giants will move for Roma’s Alisson.
Reports in Spain today claim a deal for Alisson is at an ‘advanced stage’ and a fee of £61m is close to being agreed.
De Gea nearly joined Real in 2015, however, a late fax ended any hope of a deal.
The 27-year-old has been vocal on his future in recent weeks, with the Old Trafford ace refusing to rule out leaving United.
“My future? The important thing is the World Cup and not to think of anything else that can divert you or upset you,” said De Gea.
“You have to be focused on having a good World Cup – we are all good. Hopefully we can go far and win.
“Football is football and a thousand things can happen.
“But I’m always calm. Come what may, I’ll be the same. It is important to be focused and be 100 per cent.”
