Man Utd transfer news: Jose Mourinho not interested in Tottenham star Danny Rose
Rose was rumoured to be a target for Manchester United and it was claimed he was keen to make the move to Old Trafford.
Mourinho has already started his transfer business this summer and has brought full-back Diogo Dalot to the Premier League side.
And The Telegraph report that the Portuguese boss is no longer after full-back options.
That seemingly signals the end of interest in Rose, who is preparing for the World Cup with England.
But it’s reported that Mourinho still wants to shore up his back four, telling vice chairman Ed Woodward to focus on central defence.
However, should that quest fail, Mourinho could go back in for Spurs ace Rose.
Tottenham reportedly have a £55million valuation of the player, which may put off another club rumoured to be interested in his services in Everton.
Rose last week opened up on his off-field issues, revealing he has been battling depression.
But his superb performances for Tottenham secured his place in Gareth Southgate’s World Cup squad.
Rose had said: “It’s no secret that I’ve been through a testing time at Tottenham this season, which led to me seeing a psychologist. I was diagnosed with depression, which nobody knows about, and I had to get away from Tottenham.
“I’m lucky that England gave me that opportunity to get away, refresh my mind and I’ll always be grateful to them.
“I was on medication for a few months – again, nobody knows about that apart from my agent – but I’m off the medication now, I’m good now and looking forward to how far we can go in Russia.”
