Scouting for Bale
Jose Mourinho should forget about scouting prospective targets at the World Cup and sign Gareth Bale, according to Dwight Yorke.
Bale is one of a number of players to be linked with United, with Mourinho set to cast his eye over impressive performers at the World Cup too.
Yorke insists the United boss should forget about the aces on show in Russia though to ensure a deal for Bale is tied up.
“United and Jose don’t need to look at the World Cup,” Yorke told 888sport. “No player suits us more than Gareth Bale.
“Yes there will always be some exciting candidates to look at but Bale is someone who excites me. He is the right age, in his prime, and will be the perfect addition.”
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic agrees deal
Manchester United target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has agreed to join Juventus, sensational reports claim.
The Red Devils have been heavily tipped to sign the Lazio midfielder to replace Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini, who looks set to leave Old Trafford.
But former Juventus general director Luciano Moggi has dropped a bombshell.
Moggi has spoken to Italian television station 7 Gold, and claims that Juventus have struck deals for Milinkovic-Savic and Portuguese right-back Joao Cancelo.
“For Cancelo the situation is this: he wants Juve and Juve wants him,” Moggi said. “The operation will go like that for Milinkovic-Savic. The fee with Lazio is already set, he will also go to Juventus.”
Antoine Griezmann staying put
Antoine Griezmann has confirmed he will NOT join Barcelona this summer.
Atletico Madrid striker Griezmann is currently being chances by the Nou Camp giants.
Barcelona want to trigger his £87.5million release clause, which will come into effect on July 1.
Barca have previously denied an approach for the France international but in recent weeks have conceded that they are chasing him.
But in a sensational revelation on Movistar+, Griezmann revealed he is going nowhere.
Manchester United remain eager to add a forward to their ranks with Gareth Bale and Marko Arnautovic their prime targets.
Mourinho has been tipped to sign an attacker to fill the right-wing berth which has proved troublesome during his time at Manchester United.
And reports indicate he will follow through with that plan despite current competition for places meaning a top prospect could leave.
According to the Manchester Evening News, United are still looking to snare a forward this summer.
Bale, who has hinted he could quit Real Madrid, is said to be one of Mourinho’s targets.
And the Welshman is joined on that shortlist by West Ham’s Arnautovic, who played under Mourinho at Inter Milan.
