Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking for six wins in a row as Manchester United caretaker manager, but he faces his sternest test when they travel to Wembley to face Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham.
Spurs handed United their heaviest defeat of the season at Old Trafford, winning 3-0 in August, but Solskjaer has his side playing with more freedom and confidence nowadays.

That means United will likely revert to the midfield three that has been so effective for Solskjaer in his short time in charge – Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba and Ander Herrera.
Ahead of them, Solskjaer should also stick with the same front trio of Marcus Rashford supported by Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard.
The returns of Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku complicate matters, and despite decent showings against Reading, the pair are better as impact substitutions.
At the back, Victor Lindelof will likely be partnered by Phil Jones. However, Jones struggled against England team mate Harry Kane in the home fixture this season and Chris Smalling returned to training in Dubai, giving Solskjaer perhaps his biggest selection dilemma.
With Tottenham’s attacking threat, Ashley Young will probably preferred to Diogo Dalot at right back, while Luke Shaw should come back in on the left.
Predicted Man Utd XI vs Tottenham: De Gea; Young, Lindelof, Jones, Shaw; Matic, Herrera, Pogba; Lingard, Martial, Rashford.
