Paul Pogba MOCKED by fans as France star makes mistake in Germany tie | Football | Sport
Manchester United star Pogba started for France in the Stade de France tonight.
The midfielder lined up against fellow World Cup winner N’Golo Kante to face the 2014 world champions.
But a Pogba error was to prove costly to France in the first half as he lost possession that led to Germany’s opening goal.
The £89m United signing was hassled in the middle of the park and could not regain possession as Germany moved the ball forward.
Seconds later Presnel Kimpembe handled Leroy Sane’s cutback, gifting Toni Kroos the chance to slide home for 1-0 from the spot.
And fans were quick to blast Paul Pogba for his mistake on Twitter.
One United fan wrote: “Pogba is s***. Honestly for him to improve and to get the juve Pogba back he has to go somewhere else, considering mourinho won’t leave.”
Another wrote: “what nonsense is that from pogba?”
A third said: “As good as Pogba is, he needs to improve a lot against high pressing. Keeps the ball for too long rather than releasing it instantly. You can’t always dribble your way out of it.”
And a fourth added: “Pogba needs to look in the mirror… This is trash”
