Soccer Aid 2018: Did you hear Clive Tyldesley’s hilarious Yaya Toure chant?
Robbie Williams has once again called upon some showbiz stars and football royalty to take part in Soccer Aid – a charity match for Unicef.
The likes of Yaya Toure, Usain Bolt, David Seaman, Edwin van der Sar, Phil Neville and Olly Murs are all taking part with a host of other big names.
And legendary commentator Tyldesley is on commentary duties with Robbie Savage.
But early in the first half, Tyldesley couldn’t resist singing the ‘Yaya Toure’ chant when the former Manchester City ace had the ball.
And fans were quick to take to Twitter to slam Tyldesley for his singing.
“Somebody tell Clive Tyldesley to never, EVER talk the Yaya Toure song again,” one fan wrote.
Another wrote: “After listening to Clive Tyldesley recite the Yaya Touré song during #SoccerAid I don’t think my ears will ever been the same again.”
A third said: “Clive Tyldesley with probably the worst Yaya Touré chant ever…”
But while many fans were not too impressed at Tyldesley’s attempts at singing the chant, some found it hilarious.
“Clive Tyldesley doing the Yaya Toure chant nonchalantly when he had possession was the greatest thing I’ll experience this year,” one fan said.
Another wrote: “Clive Tyldesley just sang the Yaya Toure song, and it was the greatest thing ever.”
