Transfer news LIVE: Man Utd ultimatum issued, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Real Madrid | Football | Sport
Man Utd ultimatum
Manchester United striker Alexis Sanchez will have the club an ultimatum: play me or let me leave.
That is according to the London Evening Standard, who claim Sanchez wants out in January unless he plays more.
The Chilean has struggled to impress at Old Trafford this season and is not in Jose Mourinho’s good books.
And, with Anthony Martial due to sign a new contract, the Red Devils may decide to follow up on Sanchez’s threat and sell him in the January transfer window.
Chelsea flop to Fulham
Fulham have appointed Leicester icon Claudio Ranieri as their new manager – and a former Foxes player could soon join him at Craven Cottage.
Ranieri’s appointment was announced today and the manager is tasked with saving Fulham from relegation.
And Ladbrokes have Ranieri at 7/4 to sign Chelsea outcast Danny Drinkwater in the January transfer window.
Drinkwater has been told he can leave the Blues if the right offer comes in, and the chance to hook up with Ranieri again may tempt the midfielder.
Real Madrid struggles
Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema will not be bullied into losing his place in the XI if Eden Hazard is signed.
That is according to Spanish outlet OK Diario, who claim Hazard remains on Real’s radar.
Benzema was tipped to be sold last summer to make way for Hazard, before Cristiano Ronaldo was offloaded onto Juventus.
Still, Chelsea kept hold of Hazard and Benzema is supposedly determined to keep his place in the Los Blancos side, even if Belgian Hazard does eventually arrive.
Liverpool agreement over Dembele
Liverpool are in agreement over their interest in Barcelona striker Ousmane Dembele, with the Sun claiming Michael Edwards is backing Jurgen Klopp’s desire to land the forward.
However, Barcelona are determined to give the France international one last chance to prove himself.
Dembele suffered a serious injury during his first season at Barcelona last year and is still a long way off finding his top form.
Barca hope the youngster can still come good but would have to take a hit on his £135m transfer fee were they to decide to sell up.
